Its that anyone done Skype installation in N950? Already search the threads and not found any guides for it . Not sure anyone needed guide for this.

Anyone needed skype for N950 please do reply.

you need n9's repo enabled on phone and then you can install skype

is that any conflict/risk for enabling N9's repo in N950?

i don't think so, actually, i don't believe, there is, maybe you will need leaked pr1.3

btw, you can disable n9's repo after you install it

I tried that method before, but it cause the phone cant reboot, maybe is because i din't disable n9's repo before rebooting the phone, perhaps u can share the method of disabling n9's repo. So other able won't repeat the mistake as well. Then i will update the 1st post for others who want to install skype in N950 in future.

reboot loop you say? maybe that's because of kernel version?
disabling some repo is simple, just remove it from /etc/apt/sources.list.d/*.list
it's best to use winSCP for this though

its not the reboot loop, the phone just stuck in Nokia logo without the animation. Been trying switch off the phone and it wont helps to solve the problem. could you guide me for the winSCP mothod?

Hi Friends,

I can confirm that the procedure works with PR 1.2 as well as the leaked PR 1.3.

@tonberry, yes please ensure to disable (by removing or at the very least, commenting out) the N9 repository after having installed Skype.

The procedure for enabling the N9 repository can be done via Terminal commands, or via "click-and-drag" interface by using WinSCP or Filezilla. There are some Youtube videos that you can find online regarding this, it should be easy.
