Agreed, I actually "disable" (or set maximum width to 790) to prevent horizontal scrolling the news feed window, I'll add that to the comments window to.

And yeah, I'm aware of the like issue, it's bugging me as well.

I plan to include all features (that I can include, I can't send messages using the API for some reason, so while the UI is coded, facebook doesn't allow it).

If something doesn't work (Notes and places for example), then it's not implemented.

Also, I'd appreciate some help with the icons before someone sues me

Depending on what the final name will be (I went with Sociality right now since it has the highest votes), the via Nokia N900 will probably change, though I am planning to have something like Via App Name for Nokia N900.

Anyway, a quick screenshot:

So yeah, this is a quick release (again, I only started working on this 3 days ago).

(Just some quick tips, you can create a new album in Photos -> tap title bar, I noticed this was being requested a lot around the forums, you can also create events and embed videos in status updates).

You can find the name poll here http://mohammadag.xceleo.org/?p=42

App name is Sociality (apt-get install socaility or get it through HAM/fapman)
brilliant... dude how do you manage to create apps just like that.. i am a dev guy(java) and would love to create an app for N900..

thanks again

Hi MAG and Others,

I played around a bit and created mockup using more or less Maemo stock icons in order to keep MAG from being sued (See attached image below). Even though I am not sure if using those standard facebook icons is really illegal!? At least on other platforms all FB-Apps are using them an I dont know if they are all "official" apps?

EDIT:
Created a second experimental mockup for inspiration where I exchanged some of the stock icons for some less plain/simple ones...
(See second attached image below)

Well, what I probably would like better than my mockup might those icons that follow the official facebook look but are free for use...
(png´s and svg`s as .zip file download link)

What do you guys and MAG think?
Maybe there is even someone more skilled who comes up with a better idea?

P.S.: Please feel free to continue and enhance my work...

^Looks neat.Does look like official Nokia Facebook Application
I also think that it'll be better if the comment section have blue/white background like the official application. But will using white background use slightly more battery usage?

Loos great, still no icon installed for me though with the latest version. I was able to start from the command line - is there a trick to getting the icon to show up?

I like the new icons Reflektorfalke!

Couple of suggestions - The news feed could do with a little more formatting, it would also be nice to have the links made clickable in the news feed too.

As root, something like this usually works for me:

Code:
ln -s /usr/share/icons/hicolor/64x64/hildon/general_facebook.png /usr/share/pixmaps/general_facebook.png

Will there be a desktop widget? I've not actually tried it yet, so I have no idea. I was gonna use facebrick but I've had issues with it before, and this looks way better. Kinda like the official Android Facebook client.
