Ah, nice finding, thanks!
Just tried it myself, using "space" with lower case 's' does the job.
I'll put this on my to-do list for the next version: correctly map special keys in the settings dialog as well.

Ok, that was going to be my next try, but I'm at work atm

If you can get ctrl working too, that'd be sweet.

After that, what about key combinations (ctrl-q)?

Sorry - your program, your rules I know.

Actually, once special keys work properly, combinations should be possible by pressing multiple buttons as well.
Mapping a keyboard key combination to a single Zeemote button could be a little more complicated.

I uploaded version 0.5.2 yesterday which should fix the issue related to the space key.
It also adds support for the control key.
Further, if you still find some non working keys you can start Zeecontrol from the command line and get an output of the keycode of the "offending" key.

Thanks for that news. Should I wait for it to appear out of the autobuilder onto extras-dev or do I need to grab the files off the garage site and insert them into the directories on the phone manually?

update: Ignore that, extras-dev was not updating for some reason. Zeecontrol's appeared now after a reboot.

Well, as this is all open source it's more like "our program".
I am just focusing my work on the aspects I prefer.

Hello

I have a nearly-running combination of zeemote && zeecontrol && UAE4all && Turrican II at my Nokia N900/maemo. The only problem is described in my last post here:
http://talk.maemo.org/showthread.php?p=1003381

Or in short:
- Mapping the keys with a running UAE (sets keyboard from my normal used layout "Swiss German" to something most likely US-stylish using smoke) using the keys that indeed do up/down/right/left in UAE shows something that sounds reasonable. In fact labeled up, down, left and right exactly where it should be. In my Swiss German keyboard that's Ä, left, . and right.
- Using the zeemote in UAE with that mapping shows the behaviour down, down, down, right.
- Using the keyboard in UAE works as it should

All other keys are doing what they should. Keyboard and zeemote/zeecontrol in perfect accordance.

--> Why are zeecontrol and keyboard acting differently at those two keys up/Ä and left/.?

I am not sure if it's UAE4all or zeecontrol. Therefore I am bugging all threads ;-)

Regards

Hi I want to use Zeemote more like a mouse...eg to control the n900 from the couch. Is this possible with the drivers...eg:

1) does the mouse cursor appear
2) Can you click on buttons on screen (answer call button)
3) Can you map buttons to open apps as well?

thanks very much

Sorry I posted in another thread but this one is probably more appropriate...

Unfortunately mouse/cursor interaction is currently not supported.
Only keyboard is supported at the moment.

Thanks for the headsup. Though, I am currently very short of time and have to "suspend" most of my "spare-time" projects.

I just paired the N900 with a real bluetooth mouse (Logitech MX900 - had to look around quite a bit to get one which wasn't only 2.4GHz) and that way it works well. Maybe that helps.

By looking around I found a tutorial too to include the zeemote as a real joystick into the xorg-configuration. But I don't know if joysticks can control the mouse arrow too.

Regards
Peter
