A friend of mine has an iPhone 3 with iOS 4 , she told me SMS ringtone can not be changed and it took her ~1 hour to find an application that does this and the tutorial with a lot of steps (cutting the ringtone , syncing itunes , installing the app for itunes , setting the tone on phone then setting it on itunes , etc.) . Almost everyday I hear another shamefull thing about iphone .

stop being a fan boy and respect what each phone was made to do.

the iPhone was made for the masses. the N900 was made for us, if any of you let your friend try to do anything with the N900 I promise you they will get frustrated and give up. sure knowing a bit of shell syntax isn't a big deal, but to people who don't use Linux or even a command line it is. and just because something is open sourced doesn't make it automatically better.

am not an apple fan boy far from it, but I know the N900 has its shortcomings and I work around them.

by the way most iPhone jailbreak fine...someone should shut this topic.

N900 only compares to iphone 3G hardware wise.
and software wise iOS is still kinda behind. Close the topic now.
Why shut the topic Apple's biggest fanboy, "Ysss" hasn't posted yet!

If you can't be a N900 fanboy here, where do you suggest?

The OP likes his N900's and I like mine.......I'm looking for another one. As far as hardware comparisons go, the measurebaters can compare all they want, but I find the hardware works fine, as is. It's simply enough to speed things up if required.

I can also carry a spare battery, expand my memory simply and swap those handy little micro sd's at will.

The included AV cable, gets me plugged into a motel TV to watch my collection of DVD's, in any backwater I visit.

The N900 rocks! It plays everything I throw at and controls all my old infrared interfaced equipment!

I really want another one!

am not saying the N900 doesn't rock. but theres been so many of these topics its such a ****ing piss take. I mean really. we know people like this phone/computer/super thing or whatever you want to call it. just stop spamming it, because we know, its like people constantly mentioning justin biebier in youtube videos that don't matter, like metallica videos, its a piss take and ruins a good thing.

I think you are missing the point. I understand and respect what you are saying, but here is why it is not what you are thinking: Look at how many people have iphones, vs how many people have N900's. According to my original post, which you have not contradicted by giving examples, the N900 is a better overall phone, so it is STRANGE that people either dont know about the N900, or im not sure the reason. Which makes this topic very valid. thanks, and please, if you dont like the topic, hit the back button.

Which reminds me of another item. SD CARD!!! How the he** does the iphone NOT HAVE an SD card? You are limited to the internal memory? Come on! I have 4000 songs on my phone, so the SD card is surely useful!

Hey, PM me if you really want one. I can sell one of my four lol. I have one that is brand new, I just took it out of the box to put the screen protector on it. PM me if you are interested. If not, I will create a thread about selling it.
