I have done both, actually. If you boot off an SD card-based OS, you lose nothing and you can easily switch between them by simply popping out the SD card (or swapping them, if you have another for your Nook to use for books).

I've since just installed it straight onto the Nook's internal (eMMC) memory and used an SD card to store data (podcasts, etc.) and we never bothered going back to the Nook's stock OS. Installing over the eMMC memory does remove the Nook's stock OS, though.. but then we didn't need it and it's pretty useless.

On the other hand, there *IS* a Nook app on the market, so you could always just install it and still have access to your books again. PLUS--you HAVE to imagine that it's just wrong but awesome to see the Amazon Kindle app running on a Nook right alongside the Nook app. Talk about flexible!

i dont really care about cores, dual or single. I know it will still be in my hands to decide, but some opinions may help me decide.

I want to know when the S II is coming to Ontario!

I'm expecting it around the US release, but the details on both are fuzzy.

waiting here as well (with the help of two votes upon SGS2). hopefully there's a price drop and/or a 32gb/NFC version when it finally lands in North America.

Hmmm!
V6 SuperCharger !! HTK & BulletProof Launchers! FIX MEMORY FOR ALL ANDROIDS!

Apparently, according to the person that shared this with the DroidFans group on Facebook:
I had to share this, because this script made a more dramatic performance improvement than loading an overclocked kernel and pushing it to the max!
I guess I'll have to give this a try on my Droid and see how well it works out! Sounds interesting!

Already forwarded that link to the guy that make the ROM I am using on my DHD. Maybe he can include it on his next release or patch

Wow some comments on there saying running the mod with 800MHz, is as fast/responsive as overclocking it to 1.1GHz without it. Should do the battery life wonders

Let me know how you go. My bro wants me to update the Milestone I got for him. Its the gold edition, with the drivers pack, official alarm dock and a Xbox-style GameGripper.

The captivate is a really good device, theres not much incentive for you to upgrade yet.
But if you are to upgrade then the Galaxy SII is a much better choice than the Infuse except the 4G radio. But I wouldn't write out the (M)Atrix yet since it'll run on your current carrier AT&T and has 4G. Plus it has HDMI out, a higher resolution screen qHD, and a large battery.

I would normally say get the GSII over the Atrix because of its lag/motoblur etc, but this issue may change since Motorola released a statement in which it says they're thinking of removing the locked bootloader, and there are dozen people trying to crack it as we speak. If it gets bypassed, then CM7 will bring it on-par with GSII but with better battery life and you can look forward to a ChromeOS and Ubuntu ports, which will make the "laptop-dock" enticing.
