ah...this might help:
http://www.sonicdesign.se/horncalc.h...onsiderations.

...or maybe not... am still looking for good input for non-rectangular (conical) horn geometry.

like the pic below.

And here are some considerations when building a conical horn that resembles the old gramophone more thatn what this project is about: http://steinmusik.de/horn/artikelee.html - still nice reading.

cheers!

Thanks for info, I'll be checking them. Anyway, anyone know a blueprint for N900? or a precise geometry, I may need to adapt the model to fit around the camera cover convex.

So how is the 3D model going?

Its the size of the horn which defines the low frequency cutoff. Personally i dont think that a 4 meter, or 12 feet horn would be that interesting for 20Hz, attached to the N900...

It would be a great conversation starter!

The younger folk around here don't remember when there were no amplifiers..........of the electronic type anyway.

Thank you everyone, all these really help and I was modeling the horn part, now only need to fit it into the frame though I need to measure the geometry of N900 a bit more so I can make some KISS design that fit. I'm too busy ATM with real life job. I'll get back to this by this week end.

Edit: ughhhh I really can't find time yet, sorry and again hopefully this weekends.
