And here we are again!... I believe 100% there is a delayed 2010 device, "Jessie's Girl", and that there can be a newer keyboardless device. I take all the evidences for both. But it still seems to me you people are just speculating about JG not being marketed, announced and sold just like any other device. Where is the evidence on THAT? Have you seen crying executives in front of a whiteboard, banging their heads on the wall saying "we can't sell this piece of **** now, because it is only a 1GHz single-core with the most beautiful design in the whole industry!!"
What are the really bad specs? Does it have "just" 32G storage, for example? 512 RAM? What is it? Because if it is the CPU, you are yourself saying the newer device doesn't seem to be dual core either. And if it's a single core ARMv7, there ain't nothing much better than 1GHz around.

maybe everything is there to make Harmattan run... but choppy when compared to the consumer device - what could be very bad press, releasing a phone with an OS performing sub-optimal, and tghen burning the OS, making the consumer device sell bad.

Well, there is nobody saying the keyboard device will be marketed.
There are somebody saying a non keyboard device will be marketed.
Again, the second device is more real. sorry.
marketed is the important word. Anything else is imaginary.

Edit:
and you're not annoying because of what you say, but because of how you say it.

Ever been in the army, no? Well if one person in a group makes a mistake or the wrong move the whole group will be punished, not just you. Because this way you will make sure everyone gets it.
