Its an event mostly for southeast Asia & Pacific, so why are people surprised the Device might be unveiled by a Australian?

We're a tiny market despite high mobile device usage.
Singapore, bankers to the Asian market and gateway to China, the worlds largest (and one of the fastest) growing economies.
Also a key focus of many corporations looking to expand into....

Considering the confidentiality with the FCC expires on the 24th, I don't know what else it could be. Only 92000 units being made, so it'll definitely be another n900 in terms of support, but that does not really bother me. Wonder when it will go on sale....

Nice idea, but they call it a market-disrupting device, so it'll be the first Microkia abomination.
(I'd love to be wrong on this, of course...)

This is because the current "leadership" believes that they're actually going to gain market share from iPhone and Android with this not-even-polished turd.

They just picked up some bits and pieces of information and rumours, all of which have been posted around here already. Don't put any credence to that.

Yeah, all still rumours. I'd hope for community engagement if it was being announced somehow and there is all but none.

They will disrupt themselves in the process. The only recent disrulptive devices in the past 5 years have been produced by Apple.

The device will not be Unveiled in Australia or announced to World from there.
I've just heard there will be local gatherings in few Countries to the Let local Media and such get hands on with whatever Elop and Crew will Globally launch from Singapore.
