Have to have something to VNC/RDP to. Which isn't guaranteed in a datacentre.

All I can be sure of getting is an ethernet port, BYO cable.

Firewalls can also make it hard to do anything that isn't specifically allowed and the cleartext password of VNC isn't something InfoSec are fond of.
