But what should nokia have done, besides not getting ELOP.

But i do hope that HTC or samsung or anybody else then Apple or Microsoft buys the left over nokia scraps....

I think they should have come up with a sleek and slim version of Nokia N900 with some of the basic phone features added back with free apps and games buy supporting community, it is really not that hard, there are millions of nokia fans who would pay premium to get a special phone. I remember back in India some of Nokia models due to limited availability received premium prices

10. Nokia

Nokia is dead.
Merging of brands would usually increase brand valuation. Sony Ericsson sounds better than Ericsson.

However, same thing does not apply to Microsoft-Nokia. It look awkward as brand and difficult to pronounce, especially for emerging market like China.

May be Elop should start thinking about a sexy name for the future of Nokia, like Minokia, Elokia, Microsofia, etc. for the best interest of the shareholders.

Nah! Microsoft + nokia should be named as Nokla(NOKLA) or NCKIA
so they could bust these things out.

At the most they'll get 50% correct.

Question, of course, is which half of that prediction outcome does Nokia appear to be more likely to fall into?
Also: Now that I've posted into this thread, you can now know that "it is on" here and you can all party-post as usual. You're welcome.
