Where can I find a telnet client for the Nokia 770 that will actually install on the above version of the OS (OS 2006 edition v. 3.2006.49-2)???

2 ways: Install the last buzy box: http://maemo.org/downloads/product/OS2006/busybox
or install netcat (I think he is supporting telnet support): http://maemo.org/downloads/product/OS2006/netcat/
