Well lucky me, I managed to kill my screen with water. Now I am wondering if there is any way to connect your phone to a computer without the need to press the "Mass storage" option once you plug the USB in?

Power your device off if not already, plug it into yer computer through usb and enjoy the awesomeness of mass storage hitting in automatically.

Tried that, but it just gives me a removable disk option that I can't access. Is there something else to it? Or is there another way?

Plug it into your TV with the video cable and use the TV as the screen.

Sounds like some other hardware/components is damaged then(?), otherwise try SSH to the device if installed. Also, try to plug it into another computer just to exclude that there is smthn wrong with yers.

Tried the TV idea, no go. No picture coming up at all.

Also tried multiple computers, no luck either. And I do not have SSH installed.

Does this mean I am fully screwed?

I had a sign of life, the Nokia logo appeared for a second on the screen. So does this mean that by some miracle I get possibly get it back to working?

Well, if it is actually working, aside from the screen (doesn't sound like though) and you have rootsh you can still install stuff from xterm by typing blind, since we have the ctrl-shift-x shortcut. If it happens to automatically connect to the internet makes stuff easier too.

I think I'd do something like this

root
apt-get -y install openssh-server

and then ping my home computer to find out the ip, or just look at the router if it's wlan.
then ssh into the device
