Great, many thanks ammyt.
I'm almost good to go, as I have errors with some packages in apt-get since my Backupmenu restore, but nothing that should be discussed in the present topic. :]

Well, can't tell you if it's normal or not, before you install setcpu (or similar) NITDroid uses one of three power configurations found in /and/etc/oc-profilexxx-xxx. One of these profiles as I remember is 500-700-1150, so I think this was used in your device.
However, good too see you're over your problems
EDIT: Since you're using setcpu, I recommend you to set the lower limit to 250, or even 125, to avoid turning you're N900 to a nuclear power plant.

iv got a question... iv got alot of music, films and pics on my emmc with maemo if I get nitdroid will it get rid of all the music, films and pics? if it dosent would I be able to view all the pics, videos and hear all the music from when in nitdroid mode? all my music, videos and pics are taking up 14 gigs of HD space. so how much space does nitdroid take up? and will it effect all mu maemo stuff?

If you copied your music and videos in the dedicated folders in Maemo, (.images, .sounds or .videos) NitDroid won't be able to read them because it does not support hidden folders. You will have to rename these folders by removing the dots.
Example: .sounds to Sounds, .images to Images and .videos to Videos
