If the rumor that they've already ceased production of the 950 is true, then chances are they've already smashed the molds and recycled the tooling, (a common practice in industry when a limited edition product has reached the end of it's run.)
If this is the case then all the petition will get you is a WP7 or Symbian device that looks like the 950.

If you get 100k signatories, they still wont do it, seriously spend your time making yourself a worthwhile contributer to get an N9 when they start handing those out to the community. And no a pointless petition for an incomplete dev device doesn't really count :P

I think it a no big cost for Nokia to start a N950 production because everything is already done except manual instruction and support. They could sell without it and make a notice on that

A device "that looks like N950 with symbian or wp7" is about as useful as a brick.
It'd take friggin ages to port MeeGo to wp7 hw, and all symbian hw so far has been underpowered, and totally locked down...

What is your excuse for this spelling of "contributer" when it should be "contributor"?
A comma after the "And no" would be nice too.
Starting a sentence with "And" is also up for debate.
Is it the N9's that are being handed out to the Development community or is it the N950's?

That all being said, if you're serious, why don't you post your remarks on the official Nokia forums and channels? This site really isn't the best place for them, or even the right place.
i've even used a few colourful expressions to get my point accross but at the end of the day its not down to the mods over there so we need a more direct root.
i will ask them how best to go about it if someone can get this going tho cos i NEED a keyboard
