Just for your information I want to inform that I have entered QSpot into the MeeGo Coding Competetion 2011, the entry is available at http://competition.meetmeego.org/submissions/48.
Project webpages are also soon going to appear at the garage site.

Glad to hear.. I really do appreciate your support very much! You should be able to vote, winners will be selected by the community (more info at http://wiki.maemo.org/MeeGo_Coding_Competition_2011).

qspot (0.9.2-5) doesn't install for my N900.

I get error about missing application package: libopenspotify (>=201106-1)
When trying to install libopenspotify (201106-1) I get error about non-compatible application package.

Does qspot support N900 PR1.3 SW (20.2010.36-2) that I have?
(I believe PR1.3 has Qt core libraries version 4.7.0)

QSpot should work fine with pr1.3. How did you try to install qspot? Did you download it from the garage page or from e.g., extras-devel repository?

First I tried by downloading from garage which failed. But now trying from n900 app. installer repository the installation worked fine!

One thing that I miss from all Spotify clients made for N900 is capability to freely wind the currently playing song e.g. by manually editing the progress bar indicator. Doesn't seem to work atleast for me.

Otherwise very nice app!!!

Might have been something wrong with the package available from the garage site. Anyway, nice to hear to you got it to work.. Seeking within a track is currently not supported in QSpot, as the underlying lib (openspotify) does not support the functionality (or should, but there is some problem with the implementation which I need to look into in more detail when possible). If it would be possible to use the official library I could enable such functionality already.

i just upgraded to a premium spotify account so i could use qspot on my n900, and when i log in it shows me my list of playlists...but when i choose a playlist it won't load the actual tracks for me to play. help?

also, the advanced search syntax (artist: etc) don't seem to work as intended. thoughts?

The playlists are loaded first, then the actual track lists. Sometimes it might happen that the tracks have not finished loading and the list is empty when selecting a playlist. Have you tried going back to the playlist menu and then retrying by selecting the playlist again after a short while?
