Transfer kernel-power-modules deb to Your device using USB/bluetooth and reinstall:
dpkg -i kernel-power-modules*
You can find the .deb file using the Package Search in my signature...
Reboot.
Install WLAN Driver Selector Applet and let that install Bleeding Edge drivers for You...

I want the drivers loaded on boot, and dont want to use wlan driver selector. guess I could just hide it..

I wouldn't recommend using the bleeding edge drivers constantly.
If I remember correctly there are some issues with them.

I did this:

In the directory of modules /lib/modules/current/ backup the modules:
cfg80211.ko, mac80211.ko and wl12xx.ko
copy all modules of bleeding edge in /lib/modules/current/.
reboot.

But didnt do it right, named files wrong, then moved 'wl12xx.ko' to a different folder. fixed all that, confirmed files are in correct folder. but it dont work.. running latest version of kernel 48, is that the problem??
