To make this possible Nokia has partnered with C3, the leading provider of 3D mapping solutions, offering photo-realistic models of the world.
C3 uses modern camera equipment to capture as many as one image per second of the same object from up to 100 different angles. The images are then used to automatically reproduce the shape of the objects with very high accuracy.

I think you can only get this on a desktop browser, I therefore have no idea why the OP started a new thread about something released months ago on TMO as we are never going to get this on our N900's.
At least on Firefox 3D requires plugin, but it is really worth trying. They have really mapped whole metropolises in 3D. In the Helsinki view I can even see my little suburb in Espoo. It's really the scale and quality of the 3D that makes this better than what I've seen before. Can't wait until they expand it to everywhere.
