My guess was simply that everyone of these ads has a single character, since they quite obviously have these characters. I've found the following candidates, and believe me, I've tried quite much of different combinations.
First ad:
My best quess would be S that's visible when the lady is wiping the table. Another option could be the lone A in the taxi sign.

Second ad:
Could be the lone T in the taxi sign or the 0 in the calculator.
Third ad:
Player has the number 3 in his shirt. It's mirrored, so maybe the whole scene is mirrored
It could be a geeky E also...
Fourth ad:
There's a clear N in the shoe.
Fifth ad:
The kids hat looks like X and next to the balloon there is P.
Sixth ad:
Again there's the taxi stuff. And a nine in the clock which everyone has seen.
Way to spend your vacation, I'm heading to bed now (alone). Good luck everyone.

why would it be a wp7 phone if this whole activity requires us to look deeply and constantly into the n9 ads?
