Anssi Vanjoki: “My hair stands on end” over Nokia’s fall

Vanjoki was a frontrunner for the Nokia CEO position after former chief Olli-Pekka Kallasvuo was ousted from the firm. However, the Nokia Board opted for ex-Microsoft exec Stephen Elop – who promptly led the company into the loving arms of Windows Phone 7 – and Vanjoki resigned, claiming “the time has come to seek new opportunities.”
If Vanjoki had got the CEO position we would not be watching the absolute turmoil that everyone is witnessing at the moment and we would NOT be going down the path of WP7 !.

Maemo would have been resurrected and MeeGo full on support from Nokia !.

Think about that one !.

Personally, I think the resources they sank in Maemo was a drop in the sea compared to what Symbian got.
This proves people either can not read English or are going down a track nobody else is .

all you guys that are complaining that didn't buy the n900 or had it and sold it! quit whining we get the picture u dont have to tell us everyday ! and please stop telling people your reasons why you are not gonna buy the n9 either ! we get the f'n picture i am tired of reading your complaints everyday and giving other users second thoughts on the n9.

That's irony--complaining about complaining. Get a dose of reality, lad. Things are happening that will effect Maemo and MeeGo and the N9's release, ownership and support. If pointing that out is "constant whining" and causes people to have second thoughts, then perhaps Nokia should quit giving constant reasons to whine about instead of shouting at the people noticing and saying as much. Seriously, man, if it bothers you so much--you CAN place us on ignore and live in your happy-happy thoughts and ignorant bliss. :P In the meantime, the adults will be over here discussing back and forth and evaluating the situation.

IF ONLY now if the N9 looked like that there would NO whining NO complaining NO talk of anything else but beautiful .

Oh and does not need support from Nokia .

n9 best thin 8mpx camera.
i still want one. colors and details are better on n9 than galaxy s2

sadly unless i fork 800$ wont be easy to get one for a while
