Hello,

I've got a problem with my home wifi. I can connect with my N900, but email won't sync and certain updates (firmware and the nokia apps) can't be downloaded.

This problem is limited to my home network, because its working at a friends' wireless connection.

Does anyone know how to fix this?

Regards
Trawz

Sounds like a problem with your router setup, you will need to say what router it is. Have you checked with your router's website/forums on how to set it up

Hey

It's an Orange Livebox believe it's by Sagem.

Haven't really found anything about it because our provider used to be Wanadoo > Orange > and now its "Online".

Does it have to be set to the n900 or aren't the overall settings set correctly?

I'm using the Livebox for a couple of years now for my notebooks using the wireless plugin card. Without any problems.

Check the router's firewall setting, port forwarding. I assume email on you PC works.

Some time back my router and phone stopped talking/fell out with each other - don't know why, rebooting the router sorted it; try that.

What should those things be set on?

Yep everything works perfectly on my laptop and pc.

Rebooting didn't have any effect.

I'm afraid I don't know your router, was hoping that you might see something odd there. If your PC works have you tried with 3G? You have restarted you phone? Does anyone else you know own an N900?

Today my phone wouldn't let me answer calls, had to phone people back - this happened out of the blue, restarting didn't help - a reflash did. As a last resort try reflashing.

The Orange provided router is rather hacked about and very heavily biased towards Windows installations too. I have a few friends that have had similar weird issues on one router whereas another apparently identicalOrange supplied router did not exhibt the issues. I'm assuming you tried phoning the so called technical support who won't understand that you haven't installed their CD on your phone yet.
