So when everyone was flashing to the "hacked" os2008 I joined the fray and enjoyed the hell out of it.

Then I started to miss certain apps, and I'll be damned if that little extra heat didn't start to cause concern.

So I flashed back to os2007. Restored my settings from my card and sat back to wait for the official os2008.

The funny thing is, since reverting back to 2007, my tablet has been used less and less.

I am not sure what to attribute this to. Is it the taste of upgraded multimedia performance I got? Is it the fact that I know I am going to be re-flashing quite soon, so I don't want to invest time/effort into my incumbent OS???

Has anyone else experienced this?

I think I'll have to flash to 2008 beta later today.

It is most likely the hassle of reflashing and reinstalling everything. It will be so nice when OS updates can be made without having to reinstall apps and settings.

The OS2008 backup tool backs up the repository lists now, which is a start. The rest should be possible, my Debian and Ubuntu PCs can do it.

My N800's usage is random. It sat on my desk with a flat battery for a week and a half after upgrading to os2008 since neither of my two most used apps (maemo-mapper, UKMP) would work on it. Now they do it's back in my car where I use it most.

But when not in my car it usually sits on top of my microwave out the way, occasionally being used for Skype or random web browsing.
