friends its not only with gtalk but im not able to login to yahoo messenger also, only i can view my facebook contacts..... N900 DEAD NOW

It seems that the Nokia's N810 Email App is still able to access and pull down GMail but your Contacts are gone. You can reply easy enough, but for new email you'll have to enter the address manually. It sounds like with the N900 the situation may be worse. We can access Gmail via the browser and there you can access your contacts... you just can't see them through a 3rd party app. The IM/Chat app is totally useless on the N8x0's. This seems to be the case with any app that uses Google Contacts, ie. Chat, Email, and sadly DialCentral.
This all makes sense based on what we know about the changes Google has made in accessing Contacts. So until updates are available for the Email, Chat, and DialCentral Apps (both N8x0 and N900), these functions will be very limited, if they work at all.

Thank you for confirming your Gmail is working.

I ended up deleting my gmail account settings and reentering it. After that mine started working too.

(Contacts issue still persist.)

I can confirm that my Gmail (MODEST) is working , its an IM related problem . All the IM accounts (MSN, Gtalk , yahoo messanger , facebook ,, etc) are not working probably as mentioned earlier :S

guys we have the changed code given by google for using thrid party applications like IM (gtalk)....
can anhbody who is champ in maemo ...fix this up provide the patch....
my N900 is useless untill I have gtalk on that......

PS: google code is on page 4 of this thread....

I m using fring temporarily.....is pidgin IM is better?...fron where I can pidgin IM...?

Hello,
I have problem that all my Google Talk accounts are now offline.

If this problem is fixed in last version (0.13.5) of telepathy-gabble (jabber connection manager used in Maemo) we can update it.

I created last version of telepathy-gabble dsc (debian source) package with all maemo patches. But problem is that I do not have scratchbox and madde failed compilation.

Now I'm going to place without internet, so I uploaded my builded telepathy-gabble dsc packages on: https://github.com/community-ssu/telepathy-gabble

If somebody have scratchbox, please try to compile. I do not know if all patches is correct..

Seems like google has fixed this. Without any update in my N900 the gtalk status is working properly.

Just tried it again, still doesn't work for me.

Edit: It's working now too.
