I bought my N900 for 1100 PLN (about 360$). You should search on ebay or such pages.

The only thing i'm currently upset about with my n900 is the browser/internet speeds. If it wasn't for that and my n900 broke on me I would get another one

Having used E7, SGS2 in last 4 weeks you bet n900 is still the best for all the reasons that have been explained many times at TMO

somewhere on TMO there is a plugin to download that makes the browser quicker.

Maemo experience is like no other, and N900 is pretty sweet all around...however, I feel kinda out of the loop when it comes to social apps provided on android+BB+iphone market....is there anyway to connect maemo to such apps also, like tango, what's app, viber, etc.

One year in, I just switched over to Opera Mobile (plus browser-switchboard to make it default), and it's working for me better than MicroB ever did, or than Opera itself did a year ago. Obviously, that doesn't get you Wireless-N or faster data, but I'm making more use of the N900 because of it. Worth a look?
