After getting Skype to work on my Nokia 770 with the new OS2007HE, I am not able to launch any browser.
When I click the web application from the menu, the window opens for a few seconds, then closes and I get an error message, that states "Internal error. Aplication 'web' closed"
Before Skype, I noticed that I could choose between 2 browsers - Opera and microb, even though only microb opened by default every time I accessed the web.
Is there a way for me to configure the tablet to open the Opera browser when I click the menu? Is there a way to fix the issue with the other browser as well?

Thanks!

I don't have problems with the browser on the 2007HE after installing skype, i guess something else is the source of your troubles.

You can change the browser if you modify a setting in .browser file in your user directory.

engine=microb
or
engine=opera

Did you update MicroB from the Application Manager? There is listed an update for it and i'm not sure it will work after this update since MicroB installation comes mainly from the OS2006 packages (i think).

Thanks! I'll try your sugestions, but can you point me to the exact location of this file (.browser)?

/home/user/.browser

however, if you run xterm directly on the device, you get exactly in this directory.

The second thing i wrote is not a suggestion - i think the update brakes the MicroB (though i'm not sure)

Worked! Found the .browser file and changed the engine BACK to microb. So it looks like opera engine is screwed up.
Now....any way to update that one? Or maybe re-install it from somewhere, or it comes built into the operating system?

Thanks again!

Opera corrupts its cache files sometimes. I hope you're with the OS2007HE with the corruption fix?

For fixing Opera - look in /home/user/.opera directory and try to empty cache4 subdir. If that's not working - try to delete cookies4.dat, download.dat or vlink4.dat and run Opera again.
