you can install bash, then uninstall catblock

Hello,
A combination of all this advise allowed me to remove it. I couldn't remove it in x-term with sudo gainroot, I had to use root.
root
sed -i 's/bash/sh/g' /var/lib/dpkg/info/catblock.prerm
sed -i 's/bash/sh/g' /var/lib/dpkg/info/catblock.postinst
rm /var/lib/dpkg/info/catblock.prerm
rm /var/lib/dpkg/info/catblock.*inst
apt-get purge catblock
It is now gone

I have another poroblem... I deleted all the cablock files from /var/lib/dpkg/info directory using winSCP but the program still remains! Now i cant find the files anymore and i dont know how to get rid of this. Any idea?

open X Terminal and type the following:
sudo gainroot (requires rootsh package)
rm /var/lib/dpkg/info/catblock.prerm
rm /var/lib/dpkg/info/catblock.*inst
apt-get purge catblock
thats it ....Good Luck!!!!
