Last week my son immersed my N900 into water. I wiped off the water and then dried it as much as I could with air from the fan and then turned it on. It came on, but the 'grey' background light refuse to go off!
Even when the phone is off and I am charging it, or when its supposed to be in idle mode, the light is still on. As such, my battery hardly last up to 30 mins, even when not in use.
When the phone is completely off and I tap on the power button, the 'grey' background light comes on for a few seconds, then goes off.
I suspect the power/switch button is making an unwanted contact when the phone is on.
Please, is there a way to fix this problem, because I love my N900 and I can't afford another one for now.
