Head of Portfolio Management at Nokia Klas Ström also tweeted this:

@klasstrom: Nokia will provide software updates, care and services support for the #NokiaN9 until at least 2015

It's what happens when you get to know Nokia.

That's assuming you CAN even replace them without b0rking up the OS, like old Maemo kept doing everytime you tried to REPLACE the apps. You couldn't. You had to keep ADDING apps and using them instead--but you could never actually remove and replace some of their built-in apps. Nokia really spends a LOT of time and money making SURE you have to use that closed-source crap on an open-source OS... and we're not even talking about drivers. I wouldn't be surprised if that continues to be the case despite all the assurances I kept getting in the past that Harmattan would be different. :P

Oh really so thats why there are people from Nokia who works with N9xx/N9 community edition!?

Pleas stop spread FUD about facts you dont have. There ARE issues with closed stuff like AEGIS crap, and core apps but this is a bussiness decision that every damn manufactor is using in some way. And that includes your favourite Android!

Just take a look how the Coordia project has gone. They STILL got problem getting ANY manufactor release all the sourcecode of Linux.

And as we all know this is also the case of Android.

We can lioke it or not but there is no difference. Show me ANY company that has FULL opensource!
