i need not select maemo kernel power 2.6.28.10 power48 but rather wait for it to load

The multiboot Countdown Timer never times out ( ZERO) rather the phone turns off as soon as the timer reaches Seven.
I tried reinstalling the Kernel, modules, multiboot but didn't help.
Please Help
