hi guys, is there a program or an app that I can use on my n900 that will allow me to edit an mp3 track and use the bit that I want as a ringtone. I don't own a pc so I can't do it that way.

cheers

Trisha, i googled a while and found GoGadget but rokafellaskank has no pc so it's kinda difficult and it's not free

EDIT: MP-Cutter seems to be free..... but: Platform: Windows All
Here's one i found online, Cut MP Online, perhaps this could help

i have a great way of doing this

download 'recaller' widget from the repositories and you can record system sounds

all you will need to do is play the track up to the bit you want as a ringtone and hit record, then press stop where you want your ringtone to end

this is the method i use and works great

hope this helps

i use Free online file converter
usually on my PC running Linux, but just tried it out w/ microb
(@#$%?&*! fennec doesn't allow access to /media/mmc1... mozilla more & more starts to function like m@ke$$h!t )
works perfectly.
plus it allows to select intervals (00:00:00 / hh:mm:ss)
top of the blues, if you do the conversion from a PC, it provides a QR-code & allows it to be downloaded a few times (from the phone, directly, thus not having to "upload" it )

PS: honestly, i have lost count of how many programs i could (and partly have) install(-ed) on my PC that would (nearly!) do the same as this nifty site...
