Am I right in thinking there's no current infrastructure mode support for N900 acting as a mobile hotspot?

Had a plan to setup my N900 as an AP, but a number of devices sadly don't support ad-hoc.

There are two apps (Mobile Hotspot and Qt Mobile Hotspot) that are supposed to do this, but none of them actually work on my n900. They don't give any error, but the SSID is not visible or connectable.
Using KP48 and CSSU 16.8, though others claim this combination works

During all my hollydays I used the n900 "mobile hotspot" as mobile hotspot with ad-hoc mode. And it worked very good.

There is another mobile hotspot application you can buy in Ovi store. I don't know if it supports infrastructure mode.

But in my next hollydays I will use another thing:
Huawei E5. This is very cool and works very fine with n900 and is cheap. It is configured by a web interface
advantages:
- It offers full infrastructure with any simcard. (With security, automatic PIN-dialing, multiple profiles.
- It doesn't eat the battery of my n900
- I don't need a dual sim
- I can use it with abroadband

I like it very much and I am sure that it will work even better than n900 mobile hotspot.

The infrastructure mode known as master mode is not supported, there was thread about this and the results was a bug within the firmware that prevents this mode from being enabled and thus used.

Unfortunately only wl1251 is affected by this issue but wl1271 (in N950/N9) the issue does not exist. Therefore only N900 users are affected.
