These are things I was really missing in Meego CE.
So, will this be a part of the new release of Mer?

it's already possible to use this on top of CE now (and I do on both my CE devices - ideapad / n900 already)

Widgets won't make '1.0', since I'd like to get it out there nice and early, but they'll come in the future I'm sure.

My intention is for it to become the new default UI on CE when I judge it is in a 'complete' state (which is not all that far off right now actually).

Mer itself doesn't have a UI, CE is using Mer to get something that boots. In traditional Linux desktop terms, CE is GNOME, Mer is Debian (except that Mer deliberately avoids having any UI at all by default ...)

I'm sorry, but probably not. I don't have any interest in developing for Harmattan as a platform, I'd rather make something better that's free, open source, and runs on more devices myself.
