Greetings, first time poster here.

I have had the 770 for about a week, and love it! In fact, I am learning all about Linux to better able add functionality.

Currently, I have 64mb external memory, with a 1gb on the way. At that time, I will extend system memory onto the external card. I don't know if it's the memory shortcomings, but the 770 crashes some times when I click on a web link. Everything freezes for a moment, then it auto-reboots. It can be quite frustrating.

Does this sound like a defect, or will it go away with more memory? I can still return it and swap it out.

If you install the new OS version, I doubt that you will have this problem. I know, it seems like a lot to do; you just bought the device, and you already have to install an OS upgrade? Ultimately, it's your decision, but it works a lot better after the upgrade.

He has only had the device for a week. Isn't the latest o/s already on the device?

The unit I purchased did not have the current OS, but I did install it.

You are right, it is more stable. Before there were freezeups, but no there seems to be more rebotts.
