any idea on how to fix this:

dpkg: failed to open package info file `/var/lib/dpkg/available' for reading: No such file or directory
E: Sub-process /usr/bin/dpkg returned an error code (2)

seems to have worked but now I have this problem:

looks like these are the ones causing the problems:
libboost-system1.42.0
libboost-filesystem1.42.0
libboost-iostreams1.42.0
libboost-regex1.42.0
libboost-thread1.42.0

I have no idea what they are...

something to do with the Boost C++ Libraries???

Where did you get opera-mobile 11.5 from?
The last version for maemo I know of is 11.00.9
