I fail to see why you are trying to playback 720p videos on a 480p display with digital 5.1 sound on stereo speakers
Even with the TV out, you will still get a stretched and pixelated 800x480 out on your 1920X1080 screen (3.5mm jack does not support HD out) and of course none of the digital multichannel sounds (3.5mm jack does not support Dolby or DTS out either)
With 480p videos you get 6 times as many movies in your storage, as 480p videos are a 6th the size, and exactly the same quality on our 800X480 displays
So... you are leading your device to a very probable reflash or worse, for a chance to achieve absolutely nothing?

Please don't tell me you got 4TB space on N900!
In any case you could get 4 to 5 720p movies in N900 (4.4GB average). An 2-3 more in the mmc
I am telling you man its much much faster to download 8 480p axxo movies than going through all this pain

So, you are saying that copying and watching a 720p file on pc (dvd player, ps3, etc) is worthless?

I get my movies/shows to watch on my computer, but if I want to take a couple of episodes with me if Im going on the train I dont want to have to wait a few hours to re-encode them. I want to just copy them over and thats it.
