Yes, something is going wrong again. But this time what bothers me the most is that some of my contacts in the Speed Contacts applet get removed and I have to select them again when Gtalk connects again.

I'm facing the same problem too from 12 october...in the days before Gtalk connection was unstable and now i'm online but cannot see online status of contacts...

same problem for me. the gtalk IM contacts dont have a status. it has been like this for a week but intermittent. yesterday it worked but now its broken again.

also have seen duplicate gtalk entries for these contacts. and when i select an entry it prompts me to select my own account to confirm.

glad to have found this thread though. hopefully it gets fixed.

Again my gmail IM contacts disappeard, online availability shows but no more contacts.... can some one fix this ASAP

deleting a gmail contact results in no contacts being shown in the IM list it seems. thinking of a workaround.
