it would be great to see a movie player that can play videos/movies on the desktop rather than opening media player all the time. Something that will easily pause/play videos with a click of it.

It would have to include a screen size option to stretch the picture to the desired resolution (similar to windows where you can drag the corner to extend and make the picture larger)

is this a do-able thing or a stupid idea?

i was thinking like a video player in widget form

there is already a basic app to do this

...works very well but its not very userfriendly though. maybe someone is able to develop it further
