All in all it seems like they know what the hardware is. But have no idea about the OS.

Oh and true, MeeGo is dead. So are dinosaurs. Both are cool nonetheless .

afaik it is possible to disablevaegis for geeks now. but even if not its way more open too tweek with than wp7 and iphone afaik.

and we have sshserver from scratch
we have python from scratch
we have qml from scratch
and perl and....

also it seems simple to write custom vkb plugins cause of maliit and custom im plugins cause of telepathy too the system and add custom codecs cause of gstreamer. now will nokia new favourite os wp allow this?

i guess main customers dont care about this but funny is finally noki Did do a device that is both for geeks and normal consumers. so thy really has lost trust in themself when not release it on the big markets. hell I actually write this on vkb and seems like I start to forget my n900 and hwkbd

simply love my n9

With an operating system, you don't just HAVE a copy--you live with it, use it and are extended or limited by it. By extension, you ARE that dinosaur.

The point is, Nokia needs to SUPPORT and continue to develop their hardware and operating system so that it remains relevant, useful and an EXTENSION, rather than an orphan, a dinosaur and limited.

the factory in Salo, Finland is currently making 3000 N9's per shift which means 9000 per day. They are still not making N9 at full capacity because they also make E7 there. N9 production is increasing. FYI.

This is slightly more pleasant than Elop's mismanagement...

Shipped from Dubai.

Wait begins. Apparently the courier company will call me to confirm the consignment (never heard of this before?).

£460 for the 64GB.
All other costs including shipping comes to £510. Of course if anyone knows someone who travels there often then its a very good deal. Shipping and customs is a pain.
