Sakya, remember when I asked for a update once a minute(to preserve battery) while on background, so I don't need to wait 5 to 7 secs every time I need to know the minute I'm in?
BackgroundUpdateIntervalSeconds=60
Also, I always get ashamed when it does this while someone is looking (I guess this could be solved with double buffer):

Done in version 0.1.22:
Changelog:
* Added BackgroundUpdateIntervalSeconds setting to DateTime widget. If set the widget is updated every x seconds also when the lockscreen isn't visible,
so that the time you see when you click the power button isn't too "old".
As said in the changelog add
to your DateTime widget to let it update in background.Code:BackgroundUpdateIntervalSeconds=60
When does this happen (double buffering is enabled by default in QGraphicsView)?

When the package will be in extras-devel you can just install as all the other packages (if it works, I never tested it as I said).
My projects: smssend, groupsms, volumecontroldaemon, vodafone190, vodafone190 desktop widget, QtBatteryWidget, QtLockscreen, Lone Wolf
