I have some serious problems with the built in Twitter Application at my N950 after updating to PR 1.1.

It updates the list of tweets itself without user interaction and the list scrolls up, the position where I stopped reading is lost and it loses the cache.

Where is the best place to raise a Bug against a preinstalled application?
Or is the developer around here by accident?
Steps to reproduce:
  1. open the twitter application
  2. scroll 20 or 30 times down the list and wait each time until the tweets are downloaded
  3. begin reading where you stoped the day before and scroll slowly up
  4. lock at some point the device and leave it alone for a hour
  5. unlock the device
expected outcome:
  • the list is perhaps updated, but still at the tweet you left it
actual outcome:
  • you see a only several minutes old tweet and you are at the top of the list
  • if you scroll down the list is only several tweets long and you need to swipe and wait again several times until all tweets are reloaded
This driving me nuts. Have other users the same problem?

Does anybody know the old version number from the Beta 2 twitter client and the exact debian package name of it or a way I could spot this information?
Perhaps someone who still runs the Beta 2 could perform a apt-get show twitter on their device and post here the outcome. I would like to downgrade to the old version asap until this bug could get fixed.

Thanks!

http://www.developer.nokia.com/bugs/

this could be "by design", news feed works the same (stupid) way.
scroll down, swipe away, swipe back. oh look, you're at the top again

Yes, but there are only those Components aviable:
  • Device
  • Documentation
  • MeeGo 1.2 Harmattan API
  • Platform API
  • Platform SDK
  • Qt SDK with Harmatan target

So, this is perhaps not the right place for a application specific Bug but I raised now anyway one in the Device categorie: Bug 545

It worked just surprisingly fine at the previous release. So they changed perhaps to much...

yeah i dunno man, that whole bugtracker is a joke if you ask me.
I just stick app bugs in device too. Then Nokia doesn't even read or assign them. Yay.

In the info about the package twitter-qml there is a link to the project homepage:

Code:
https://dvcs.projects.maemo.org/git/?p=twitter/twitter-qml;a=summary
Sadly I have no access to this page but I'm surprised, the project is hosted at maemo.org?

The Version number has the m6 ending. I guess this implies maemo6 as target.
