My N900 is from december 09 too and I got two new japods recently. While they are definitely an improvement,i didn't see so much difference as you report and I have about the same charging habits as you describe.

The original battery is one of the most resilient ones I've ever used.

today my scud battery charged upto 98 percent. i was happy. cell was standby.suddenly after half an hr it showed 92. y is dat? it also happens with the stock battery. only when it charges above 94 percent.it drops down suddenly.after that it takes up charge normally.can anyone explain what is the problem. wheder it charges 96 or 98. i only get 90 cz after 10 to 15 mins. it drops down to 92 or 90.
