Yes, but this is a fairly recent addition to WP7 (i.e. 2011). Previous releases didn't include it.

I think it's safe to say some people think that that was a fairly serious (and yet also laughable) omission...

Harmattan doesn't have global copy/paste yet either. Browser is exempt from that. To date, it's only a partial copy/paste.

Don't get me wrong, the N9 is my phone of choice this year (notice how the year is almost over and I still don't have it...) but since I have a little money to spare, i'll be getting one of those Nokia WP phone because:
1) I recently starting having fun with my XBOX360
2) I have paid versions of Windows, Office and most apps from Microsoft
so...why not have a phone to be able to *easily* communicate with these system cuz im lazy...lol. Im giving this phone to my wife anyways, as an excuse not to be yelled at for wasting money and having two phones, lol

?
If one knows that N900 had copy/paste quite some time ago,
WP7 really gets a bad look.

I do not use Harmattan currently.

Otoh how long did MS have time to make Copy/Paste in the first run and how long does Harmattan exist?

Edit: just found this:
"...
but I’m guessing it’s not good news when I get this every time:

Exception Type: EXC_BREAKPOINT (SIGTRAP) Exception Codes: 0x0000000000000002, 0x0000000000000000 Crashed Thread: 6 Dispatch queue: com.apple.root.default-priority

Application Specific Information: *** Terminating app due to uncaught exception 'NSInternalInconsistencyException', reason: 'Invalid parameter not satisfying: aString != nil'

What a crap.

N900 had Fremantle. N9 has Harmattan.

Harmattan doesn't have global copy/paste. WP7 after NoDo update does - well, all but the dialer actually (I think that was the limitation I ran into)

WP7 really gets a bad look.
In some ways, it's deserved. In some others, it's not.

NoDo came out in March 2011, some 6 months after initial release.

wp7 is top-notch as far as general usability and user interface goes. also design, but thats highly subjective, of course.

if it steps up feature-wise, it would be just awesome.
