got a very annoying email issue with my n900.

when i try to sync out MS outlook i get this error

Task '**********@btinternet.com - Receiving' reported error (0x8004210E) : 'Your mailbox is temporarily unavailable because another e-mail message is being delivered to it or another mail application is accessing it. The server responded: -ERR [IN-USE] maildrop busy.'

if i switch the n900 to off line mode and try sync my MS outlook it works fine

anyone help?

I don't quite undestand. Are you synchonizing Outlook with your N900, or you access the same account from both Outlook and your N900?

If the latter, this will only work if you use IMAP. If POP3 then only one client can access your account, so if your N900 is logged on to it, then Outlook will not be able to log in.

So then I suppose you're using POP3. With POP3 each client downloads a copy of the (new) messages off the server, optionally deleting them afterwards.

With IMAP each client (Outlook, N900) has a "view" of the messages as they are on the server. This way multiple clients can concurrently access the server, and all of them see exactly the same thing. So if you delete an e-mail on the N900, it will not show on Outlook, etc.

Check if your "btinternet.com" account offers IMAP access. If so, change your settings both in Outlook and in your N900 to use IMAP instead.

Well, OK, but that's irrelevant. The fact that you are using that option means that you're using POP3, which is the cause of your problem.

As long as one device is logged on the other won't be able to access the mailbox.

So either you change your way of using e-mail, or you switch to IMAP
