So I just installed OS2008 on my N800 and it looks great!! I got a few apps going as well. Skype, Canola2, and they work great.

But how do I get my DivX movies to play? You'd think that with the new OS out that they'd have a fix for that since I could play DivX on the OS2007.

Does anyone know how to get the DivX avi's to work?

I use this function a lot as I am always on the road for work. I spend much time in the air and in airports, so my N800 is GREAT. Watch movies on the plane and surf the internet in airports.

Please Help!

Thanks!!

I second jackass124's comment. i can get converted videos to play on the bundled media player, but ukmp, mplayer and canola2 get all choked up on them. i wouldn't mind using a different converter (long as it's free and works on vista). any suggestions?

mplayer is currently optimised for DivX-style AVIs containing MP3 audio. AAC encoded audio, often found with .mp4 files, will not work well with mplayer.

They should play back well in the built-in player. Your converter options boil down to:

* Nokia Internet Tablet Video Converter - MP4 video, AAC audio, .mp4 container. Media Player and Canola.
* everything else (...) - DivX/Xvid/MP4-style video, MP3 audio, .avi container. All media players.
