Yes, this solution was reported a while ago on Meego forums:

Thanks to edanaher who provided the original solution.
It's documented on Meego wiki already in the form of the upstart daemon config:

Probably because of this thing precisely. Perform the prescribed method with root priveleges:
echo 1 > /sys/devices/platform/wl1271/allow_adhoc
It should solve the issue for a while.[/B][/B][/B]
