All of a sudden my foursquare app no longer works. Whenever I go into my profile it gives a Network error. The other areas of the app work like check ins etc. Tried reinstalling and still the same issue. Searched around a few other people have the same issue but no solution

This part of the application never worked for me. No idea why. On symbian, there's no problem.

We can only hope that they will release an update for it soon.

Yeah, the Profile portion of the stock N9 Foursquare app seems to be sending "GET" requests for one or two components of the user profile information that are not allowed or recognized by the API.

If you acknowledge and dismiss the (many) errors, you will see your profile, but just with the invalid component request fields empty.

I would think that Nokia would be able to fix this pretty easily, but it does not seem to be on their radar...

I find 4squick to be 100x better than the default Foursquare client. I completely uninstalled it to be honest..

Since it only takes a few minutes I've lodged a bug report & voted:

This seems like it'd be a quite trivial fix, so everyone make sure you vote.

I don't think we should bother with enhancement requests for the native 4Square client.
Already there seems to be way better 3rd-party options.
But whatever is built-in, should at least work reliably....

@cddiede
I included your summary of the problem in part of the report, I hope that's cool?
If anyone thinks I've missed something, then please add your comments there.

Well try asking them in the bug report...

It was assigned to someone ages ago so it's probably been closely examined.

As I said before though, we only need the bugs fixed.
It doesn't need to be hugely improved...
We already have way better 3rd-party 4Square apps.
So Nokia devs must focus on other features for the OS.

I just noticed that a new version of the official Foursquare app has been available in the Ovi store, which fixes that problem and also supports NFC check-in now.
