Well maybe Mr. T hacked the game, and made a mowhawk class? And maybe Mr. T is pretty handy with computers? Had that occurred to you Mr. Condescending Director?

So it won't look for a cover art image file within an album directory? Or coverart embedded in the file?Woah... That seems so simple for such a slick piece of software.
I can't imagine it's performance related as photos are resized very quickly (and cached?) within the same app.
I guess I'm lost here, as I saw coverart in the demo video. So is the answer that:
a) the *only* way to have cover art right now is by taking a look at the python script from the GIT repo
or
b) for cover art to show you must follow the following rules. (file names, embedded, etc)

No excuse for such a piss-poor repository. NO excuse.
Folks have known for a LOOOONG time now that the "official" repositories had crap for bandwidth yet the Canola2 developers STILL decided to go and release a major application on it?
That's not just "oops", that's "pretty damn stupid". I don't care if they wrote the best application on the planet, when they fail the common-sense test they fail, period.
They even had a recent hint when folks had to re-host the official OS2008 firmware for the N800. That was MUCH larger than Canola2 and yet only took me 10 minutes to download from somewhere OTHER than the official Nokia website hosting it.
Yup, I'm pretty much going to ignore Canola2 until the developers figure out how the internet works and get it hosted on a REAL repository with some bandwidth.
It's almost 2008, there is not one single excuse for not having the bandwidth nor the stable servers to host Canola2.
Maybe if this were 1998 I MIGHT understand, but no more. A single server on a T1 doesn't cut it at all.

Unfortunately that was the case, and we're paying the price (it's a beta, we want feedback about our software, not about repos giving 404 all the time)

As far as the dependencies, if someone wants to get them to me (tps at buoy dot com), I'll upload them. I grabbed what I could off the repositories as it would let me.
