Thanks for the heads up. I saw the update earlier today and tried applying it, but it told me it needed to be applied with Nokia's PC Suite. From what you are saying I should be glad it didn't work.

Portrait wallpapers are still missing due to the old hildon-desktop version in the latest CSSU update. Moreover, it's the same version as in previous CSSU-testing.

To be honest, it seems little FUD'ish to me. HAM is just frontend for apt-get, just like FAM - difference is, that FAM is Open, faster, got more features, and overall, works better Personally, I've been using FAM for every and single CSSU update (from ancient ones, where HAM was not working with it at all), without *any* issues.

Of course I may be wrong here - in such case, please explain difference from technical point of view - i.e. what HAM does differently than FAM, when it comes to CSSU update.

Let's do it the other way round: you explain why they are identical and nevertheless fapman is faster. Oh, and btw HAM is Open as well, and it is using apt-worker and does some trickery with selection of packages, while fapman is known to sometimes do nasty stuff it shouldn't do, like apt-get does.

PS.: I just ran update via HAM from CSSU-16.8 to Tmaemo1, seems it worked flawlessly
