OK! Everything is good now!

I've set up a temporary repository for getting canola2 (Thanks to qos for help setting this up!):

In package manager, it is:

Name: Chatonka Temp Canola repo
Web address: http://blog.chatonka.com/Canola
Distribution: chinook
Components: testing

Make sure you disable all of the other repos that aren't working to speed things up.

the deb line is:

deb http://blog.chatonka.com/Canola chinook testing

For power users and those having trouble:

Manual install:

TARBALL: http://blog.chatonka.com/Canola/001_canola_libs.tgz

[22:01] <wolf08> sudo gainroot
[22:01] <wolf08> cd /
[22:02] <wolf08> mkdir canola2
[22:02] <wolf08> cd canola2
[22:02] <wolf08> tar xvzf /downloaded/file.tgz
[22:02] <wolf08> dpkg -i ./*

Edit: here is the becomeroot deb for those who don't have RD mode enabled:

http://eko.one.pl/maemo/dists/bora/u....1-2_armel.deb

whew.. I'm going to sleep. I've got exams tomorrow, and it's late enough as is. If this doesn't work for you, I'm very sorry =/. It did for me and some others on both n800s and n810s in os2008.
