I Buy my mobile nokia n900 from pakistan.it was working very good.now i come back to saudi arabia but here 1 problem arouse.my sim is working fully but i cannot call any where from this mobile.it tells general error.can u tell me the problem please.how it will b solve

i also had the same problem i searched a bit and solve it my self,i dont know if it workss for you or not plz post the result,here is what i did

go to settings >Phone >Send my caller id >(set to let network choose)

there is option in my N900. when i open settings and click on its option there is a option which says "enter code to remove operator lock". can anybody explain me what it is ? its not network locked. tryed default code but still didnt worded.

Hello panjgoori,
It seems that your sim is locked to network carrier. You need to unlock it. It is a network lock. If you forget your mobile's security code means only you can use default security code. So it seems that you have to break your network lock. Contact the network carrier and ask for unlock your mobile, or try to get unlock code for your mobile at any online service. To get unlock code you have to provide your mobile's IMEI number, country and network carrier it is locked to. If you wish to unlock your mobile means just go through the service Simpleunlocking.com and get unlock code for your mobile. Through this you can unlock your mobile at reliable price and within short time period. And follow the instructions at the same service. It'll be helpful to unlock your Nokia N900..

Looks like a spammer.
Anyways, since when were N900's sold locked to a network carrier?

BTW, "General Error" just means that the N900 cannot talk to the BB5 because of >9000 reasons. Reboot, if it doesn't work, clean SIM card, last resort would be to reflash CMT.
