I posted about this with respect to mplayer in the "Apps" forum.
I have an N800, and until two days ago, I was running OS2007. I have about a dozen AVI files that I watch on it, and they're on an SD card. I used to use mplayer and Canola (depending on my mood) and they both played the videos fine.
Since I've upgraded to OS 2008 final, the videos play, but the lip sync is WAY off, but several seconds. The video is ahead of the audio.
Has anyone else noticed this? Is there any way to fix it?
I never realized, until I read a different post, that Canola simply launches mplayer "under the covers". I guess that explains why I'm seeing the same behavior in both apps.
So, I guess I'm back to my original problem with mplayer having lip sync issues.
